    Abstract :

Composite structures is also called as mixed structures. In steel-concrete composite structure steel and concrete are combined to get benefit from the characteristics of each material. Composite construction takes the advantage of speed of construction, light weight and strength of steel, and the higher mass, stiffness, damping properties, and economy of reinforced concrete. One of the ways to increase the rigidity of a suspension bridge is to transfer a part of stiffening girder rigidity to a suspension main cable. Meanwhile, the truss bridge have been widely used due to the effective force transferring mechanism. A truss bridge is a bridge whose load-bearing superstructure is composed of a truss, a structure of connected elements usually forming triangular units. This paper describes a static analysis of both CFST truss bridge and suspension bridge using ANSYS software for the parameters like axial force, stress, shear strain and deformation with varying cable properties for suspension bridge and deck properties for truss bridge.
