    Abstract :

    - now a days most of the processors essentially containmultipliers as its base element. Speed of the processors dependson the speed of multiplier. Addition, multiplication and signaldelay is necessary to design filters. Sixteen sutras are oldfashioned Vedic mathematics, out of them Urdhva Triyakbhyamsutra are observed which is applied for filters. This sutra ismainly used to multiply numbers in crosswise manner, whereconventional multiplication takes a excess time to multiplynumbers and calculate the product and UT is used improve speedof the processor. The Urdhva Triyabhyam and conventionalmultiplication techniques are compared in terms of power, timedelay and area. This presents the design of multipliers usingUrdhva Triyakbhyam and has been coded in Verilog language, itis synthesised and simulated using cadence software.
