    Abstract :

    This paper intends to discover the reality of understanding project knowledge management and its application in the area of construction projects. In addition, to assess the acceptance of a framework addressing construction projects knowledge management and to identify the impeding factors stopping the implementation of a successful project knowledge management framework. In order to examine the above-mentioned areas a quantitative approach will be used. The data will be generated from both primary data (collected through interviews with project managers from different organizations) and secondary data (collected through existing literature on project management). The results of the study revealed that the misalignment to the objective of the project, changes, errors and omissions and wrong competencies are influencing the project knowledge management. In addition, the study presented and discussed the implications of the findings and conclusions on the optimization of Knowledge management.
