But it has some security vulnerabilities. Like an unauthorized user could know a valid OTP value and be authenticated with this secret information. A secure OTP algorithm has been proposed to solve this type of problem. The proposed algorithm uses the IMSI number for registration of the user and captcha image along with OTP to it secure against MITM attack and MITPC/Phone attack.
