In the present work an optimal combination of process parameters such as peak current, pulse on time and pulse off time was obtained during Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) of Aluminum alloy AA6082 with electrolyte copper as the too electrode using multi- response optimization Grey Relational Analysis (GRA) method. The performance characteristics namely material removal rates (MRR), tool wear rate (TWR) and surface roughness (SR) are selected for this study. Experiments are designed based on Taguchi method with L9 orthogonal array. Using Grey Relational Analysis a grey relational grade (GRG) was calculated. Further this grey relational grade is used to obtain optimal combination of the EDM process parameters considering multiple performance characteristics. Performance characteristics (MRR, TWR and SR) were estimated/predicted at optimal combination of process parameters using Taguchi based GRA.
