The performance of a computer system is highly dependent on the speed of a processor andmain memory, but access to secondary memory is still relatively slow. So, speedy servicing of I/O request forsecondary memory is very important for better performance. Seek time of secondary memory is the mostsignificant to acquire optimum access time. The objective of this paper is to analyze and compare various diskscheduling algorithm such as FCFS, SSTF, SCAN, C-SCAN, LOOK an C-LOOK along with corresponding seek time.
