    Abstract :

This study deals with the removal Chromium from aqueous solution using Walnut shell as an adsorbent, the study was carried out synthesizing and characterization of the adsorbent and knowing the elemental composition of it. Various experiments were performed to check for Cr removal efficiency, optimum contact time, optimum pH, optimum contact time etc , adsorbents were tested and was known that Walnut shell has a carbon content of 68.84% and hence has a high probability of removing Cr from the prepared aqueous solution. Thus, Removal efficiency of chromium (VI) of 66.9% was obtained using walnut shell powder as adsorbent
