    Abstract :

Plagiarism means copying someone else’s work and passing it off as one’s own. This problem is increasing day by day with the burgeoning of internet. Obfuscation and paraphrasing are increasing rapidly. This has led to a path where plagiarism detection tools play a major role in preventing this fraud. The project intends to overcome the shortcomings of existing plagiarism detection techniques by using semantic analysis instead of syntactic analysis.
