In any instant messenger once a media is received and downloaded, it is listed in chat thread and in chat mediainformation, but non-downloaded media information is not published anywhere else other than individual chat thread. This leads to problem for individuals as they must search all the chat groups to find outwhat missed valuable information needs to be downloaded manually. In this paper we aim to propose three possible solutions that will avoid chat group traversal. Further for better optimization of power and memory, we propose using GreenTube algorithm that adopts selective download mechanism which works based on user viewing history.
