    Abstract :

In multi-channel acoustic echo canceller, the nonuniqueness problem occurs due to the correlation between thereference signals, the filter coefficients does not converge to thetrue echo path impulse response. It could affect convergenceperformance of the adaptive filtering. In this paper, adaptive fuzzyfusion algorithm is proposed. The new procedure gives the idea, frequency domain length of the that efficiently and effectivelycontrol the non uniqueness problem for a multi-channel acousticecho cancellation(AEC) system while introducing minimal distortionto the signal. The amount of decorrelation in each subband measured in terms of coherence, can be controlled arbitraryby varying the parameters. The adaptive fuzzy fusion algorithmimprovises, update and check operators obtain optimal solutionfor defined objective function. To obtain better solution the controlparameters are adjusted. It achieves a superior performance inthe echo reduction gain and offers the possibility of frequencyselective decorrelation to further preserve the sound quality ofthe system.Simulation result for the proposed algorithm haveshown a significant improvement in convergence rate comparedwith existing system.
