Thus the author has tried to explore and compare possible avenues for research in the area considering works of peers in the field. The author after studying enormously has identified following areas : Relevance Feedback, Retrieval Optimization and Feedback Models where improvements can be done. Further collation of datasets and evaluation metrics has been carried out to ease out experimentation in the area. The author assumes that researchers in the field would benefit from the composite work presented here and could focus on Optimizations in IR effectiveness.
