Due to mobile nodes andthe dynamic infrastructure of the networkthe security protocol designed for othernetworks do not work well in MANETs.Also many techniques have been developedto identify different types of networkattacks, the black hole and gray hole attacksare two major attacks on MANETs. In thispaper, we presented a technique to mitigatethe gray hole or black hole attacks in themobile adhoc network, using AODV(Adhocon demand routing protocol). Moreover, ID3algorithm is used to diminish black hole andgray hole attacks.
